FAQ

This is my first boudoir photoshoot, what can I expect during my session?

Think of your session as part self-care, part art, and part liberation. From the moment you walk in, everything is curated — lighting, music, wardrobe, and flow — to create an atmosphere of calm confidence. I’ll guide you every step of the way, shaping each pose and expression to flatter your form and tell your story. The experience is intimate, empowering, and beautifully transformative — you’ll leave feeling like the muse of your own editorial spread.

How far in advance should I book?

I recommend booking your session at least 1-3 months in advance, especially if your shoot is tied to a wedding, anniversary, or special occasion. Every session is styled and planned with care — from your consultation to final gallery delivery — so reserving early allows us to create something truly personal and unforgettable.

Where does the session take place?

Your session unfolds inside my private Farmington studio — a curated, intimate space designed for connection and confidence. Every set, texture, and piece of furniture has been chosen with purpose, blending soft light, vintage detail, and a modern editorial edge. It’s your sanctuary for the day — private, inspiring, and entirely yours.

Can I choose whether you share them online?

Every image created at Koyi Leung Photography belongs to you — your confidence, your story, your choice. Sharing your images is never required or expected. Many clients choose to keep their session private, while others love to share a glimpse of their journey. Either way, your boundaries are respected completely. Consent is not just paperwork — it’s part of the artistry.

FAQ (cont.)

I am a bit nervous about the photoshoot, Am I allowed to bring a friend to the session?

Absolutely — and honestly, we love a good hype squad.

You’re more than welcome to bring a trusted friend, sister, maid of honor, partner, or anyone who helps you feel comfortable, confident, and celebrated throughout your experience. Boudoir can feel vulnerable in the best way, and having someone familiar by your side can make the entire session feel even more relaxed and fun.

Whether they’re there to help you laugh between poses, hold your robe, fix a curl, or simply remind you how stunning you are, we want this experience to feel supportive from beginning to end.

We do ask that guests respect the studio environment and allow space for creative direction during shooting moments — but overall, your comfort is always the priority here.

Do you provide a client closet?

Yes — the studio offers a curated client closet available for all boudoir clients to use during their session.

Our collection includes a variety of hand-selected pieces ranging from soft and romantic to bold and editorial, thoughtfully chosen to flatter different body types, styles, and comfort levels. Whether you’re envisioning something elegant and bridal, cozy and intimate, or sleek and seductive, there are options available to help bring your vision to life.

All client closet items are professionally cleaned and sanitized after each use. For hygiene purposes, protective coverings are required with certain pieces.

You’re also always encouraged to bring at least one set of your own lingerie, any personal pieces, jerseys, button-downs, veils, or anything meaningful that helps make your session feel uniquely yours.

Can I drink during my session?

A little liquid courage is completely understandable — nerves are normal, especially if this is your first boudoir experience. While Koyi Leung Photography LLC does not sell, serve, or provide alcoholic beverages as part of any package due to state and local compliance regulations, you are more than welcome to BYOB if you’d like to enjoy a drink responsibly before or during your session.

That said, we always encourage moderation. The goal is for you to feel relaxed, confident, and fully present while still being able to move comfortably, pose safely, and genuinely enjoy the experience.

Whether it’s a glass of champagne with your best friend while getting ready or simply vibing to your favorite playlist, we want your session to feel fun, comfortable, and authentically you.

What makes boudoir different with Koyi Leung Photography?

For me, boudoir has never been about trying to make women look like someone else.

It’s about helping you see the beauty that already exists within you — in this exact chapter of your life.

My approach blends an editorial, luxury-inspired style with a deeply human experience. I want your session to feel less like standing stiffly in front of a camera, and more like stepping into a space where you’re allowed to feel confident, soft, powerful, playful, sensual, emotional — whatever version of yourself deserves to be seen.

Every session is intentionally guided from start to finish. From posing and styling to music, lighting, and expression, you are never expected to “know what to do.” I’ll guide you through every detail while creating imagery that still feels natural, effortless, and authentically you.

This experience is built for every woman — every body, every story, every season of life.

Whether you’re celebrating a wedding, reclaiming confidence, marking a new beginning, or simply doing this for yourself, my goal is always the same:

To create images that make you feel something long after the session is over.
